Poonam evokes her love of natural beauty by capturing sweeping panoramas. Her multimedia shows with stills, video and audio, are informative pictorial essays of travel destinations worldwide. She uses a multitude of creative techniques to produce color abstractions and enjoys photographing unique architectures, old and new.
Poonam feels blessed to have traveled widely across the United States, Canada, Asia, Africa, and Europe, and has captured the worlds she has seen there. Living in Fremont California, she has captured everything from wildflowers, birds, spring and fall, and sunsets. And of course, in her garden, every day is a new one with exciting photographic opportunities.
She has also worked for several years in the software industry and uses that knowledge in various creative ways in her images. She is also passionate about conserving and protecting the world's natural resources and uses her photography to help these causes. She is a member of the National and World Wildlife Funds, and the Sierra Club of California.
